Snakes sleeping under sand
Awake from hibernating

Each rider's selfish needs
Are placed above the other's
When conjuring the djinn
For one wish shall be granted

Open the gate to the core
Here in the place of the fall
Drenched in equestrian gore
Pray that he'll rise once more

One's daughter's sick to death
The other's wife has perished
One asks for nothing more
Than to be king of everything

Three men pray on their knees
Fall into deeper slumber
Some voice speaks back to each
The dunes are torn asunder

See the demon rising
Clad in human skin
A towering hulk of desert, body
Sewn with hearts and limbs

He has risen
Once again
Grant the wish
Of those bereft

Ornamental horns of ox, strike their hearts with fear
His hungry jaws do part, command the cowering pilgrims ere:

Thou art mortal
Bone and flesh
Sacrifice, and
You'll be blessed

Bleed
Only for me

A pilgrim brandishes a blade and severs off his arm as an offering
Another tears out his eyes, hands bloody head screaming says here's the offering master
The last one douses himself with the oil of the lamp and sets himself on fire
Burning skin, bloody limbs, eyes torn, what madness drives these pilgrims?

See the demon laughing
At broken flesh and bone
Hear him still commanding
The three pathetic souls

Thou are mortal
Fight to death
He who lives then
Shall be blessed
